(50.8 x 61.0 cm), framed. $1500 Born in Maryland, Emil Meyer was a painter and teacher who studied in Munich, Germany in 1891, and then settled in Washington DC, where he was active in the Society of Washington Artists. He exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy in 1890 and the National Academy of Design in 1891. In the early 1900s, he taught at Columbia University in New York.
