Sydney Berne was born in Toronto, and attended Central Technical School of Art, after which He worked in the Commercial Arts field. After serving Overseas with the Army, He returned to Canada and settled in Montreal. He Exhibited at the National Gallery in London, and won a prize. He studied in London and Paris, where He worked with Abstract Impressionist Paul Andre. He had many successful Solo Shows between the Years of 1962 to 78, and was also Sold through the Prestigious DOMINION GALLERY in Montreal.
