Jean Louis Asté was a pupil of J. Garymy and Jean-Paul Laurens. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts from 1896, and at the Salon des Indépendants between 1927 and 1932.
